ABOUT EEDINA
A media platform for an informed democracy.
Eedina believes journalism should question authority, investigate injustice, explain public issues and make space for voices that are often overlooked.
Eedina is an independent, people-centred Kannada media initiative working across journalism, research and public dialogue to help communities understand the issues that shape their lives.
ABOUT EEDINA
Eedina believes journalism should question authority, investigate injustice, explain public issues and make space for voices that are often overlooked.
Our work brings together digital journalism, field reporting, video storytelling, research, public-opinion studies and community engagement. We cover politics and governance alongside agriculture, labour, education, health, culture, science, environment and the everyday realities of communities across Karnataka.
We do not see people as passive consumers of information. We believe they should be active participants in shaping public conversations.
WHAT WE DO
Eedina connects original reporting with evidence, context and opportunities for people to engage.
News, reports, interviews, editorials and analysis that put public interest before sensationalism.
Field-based stories on livelihoods, welfare, infrastructure, education, health and social inequality.
Evidence-led reporting that scrutinises power, documents injustice and follows important issues over time.
Interviews, explainers, field reports, discussions and live coverage for a wide Kannada-speaking audience.
Public-opinion studies, field surveys and documentation that add evidence to public debate.
Spaces where citizens, experts, writers and public representatives can question, listen and exchange ideas.
OUR APPROACH
Our editorial work is guided by principles that help journalism remain useful, credible and democratic.
We prioritise the issues that affect lives, rights and opportunities.
We value documentation, careful analysis and responsible questioning.
We make space for diverse social, cultural and geographical realities.
We encourage reasoned disagreement rooted in dignity and respect.
We build journalism with communities, not only for them.
