ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀದಿ ಬದಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಬುಲ್ಡೋಜರ್‌ಗಳು ಮತ್ತೆ ಸದ್ದು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಜಯನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಫುಟ್‌ಪಾತ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಬೀದಿ ಬದಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗಳ ಅಂಗಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಪರಿಣಾಮ, ಬೀದಿ ಬದಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗಳು ಬೀದಿ ಪಾಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಕಂಗಾಲಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅಂಗಡಿ ತರವಿನಿಂದ ಕಂಗಾಲಾಗಿರುವ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು, “ನಾನೊಬ್ಬ ಅಂಗವಿಕಲ. ಗಂಧದ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಜೀವನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಇವತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ಅಂಗಡಿಯನ್ನ ತೆರವು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮುಂದೆ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವನದ ಗತಿ ಏನು. ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬುದೇ ತೋಚುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಅಳಲು ತೋಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
“ಫುಟ್‌ಪಾತ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗಳು ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಅಂಗಡಿ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಈ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಅಂಗಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇದೀಗ, ಸುಮಾರು 200 ಅನಧಿಕೃತ ಮಳಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಸೋಮಶೇಖರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Hawkers had taken over all the pathways, footpaths in and around the shopping complex and there was hardly any space for the shoppers to move around. Also quite a few these hawkers are extremely rude and have rowdy like behavior and at tge end of tge day, leave tge place dirty. It’s a step in the right direction and hope BBMP clears such encroachment and make city clean.
